Midnight Sun: Johnny Cash tribute artist by Chris McDaniel

Terri, Sun City West Phoenix: There are not enough words to describe how great our audience loved you, your wife, your band and the complete show. We were sold out in no time at all 2 shows (3 & 7 pm, 1,500 tickets) and  John  still  put about 50 extra seats for door sales and I think most of them went at each show. It was a great day for Sun City West. Your compete team was a pleasure to work with. I would recommend you and your show to anyone – feel free to have them contact me. We will look forward to your return next year.

George Nicholas Gikas reports on a recent Orlando appearance:
Their (Jimmie Ray & Cyndi) performance was Fabulous,  they sang beautifully  and smiled  and laughed  and moved around on the stage  with wonderful  spontaneity  which was both an inspiration and left the audience with an uplifting message of love of  the Great artists they portrayed. The audience went wild with cheers and Joy and applause!!  BRAVO!   Johnny and June live on!

Roger, Venice Florida: You guys put on a great show. It is meaningful and heartfelt by those that attend. I still have vivid memories of how I felt watching your show. You guys just sort of naturally create magic and obviously, I'm not the only person to feel it. People always remember how they are treated. Your show is respectful to the Cash's, to yourselves, and to the audience.....they well remember the feelings you caused by your renewal of old memories of Johnny and June.....  You guys have something no other group has....

A few other comments: "Jimmie Ray's understated style, close to that of Johnny Cash... gave the fans a great time... packed to the rafters... the chemistry between Jimmie Ray & Cyndi is a show in and of itself... played their hearts out... a great night of entertainment, even education... this show is a sure hit."

Starbright Theater Comment:
Roger Johnson; who served as the guest host and opened the show as Jack Nicholson with Minnie. This was the first time he had ever seen the show:
Jimmie & Cyndi, I wish I had all the positive comments recorded from my 7 pals that were in the audience yesterday.  All were glowing, very brightly glowing!!  We all went to dinner and discussed the details.  Each friend left the show with something personal to them. I think that is a nice measure of success of your efforts!

After I left the stage, I sat back by the door and watched the show. The first thing I noticed was the 'visual continuity' on stage and the band members.  The slide show is the correct size and it all just 'fit together.'  The sound was superb, not too loud, and even with my bad ears, I heard everything.

The song selection presented a natural flow of Johnny's music. The mix between slow, inspirational and rockabilly was excellent. The casual change in tempo came at a comfortable pace for the audience. The salute to Ol' Glory brought tears and perhaps this number should be moved next to last?

It was fun to watch the stream.  Great show!Band sounded hot! Just fantastic.  There are many Johnny and June 'impersonators' around the world but Jimmie and Cyndi are not 'impersonators'. They perform with the same, unique zeal and passion that we have come to know and love from the music of Johnny Cash and June Carter. These two and their band pour their hearts and their all-in-all into every performance.  As a Johnny tribute myself, I stand behind these guys to perform the 76th Birthday celebration on the internet. Sammy Liguori of Las Vegas
As a Robert DeNiro Celebrity Impersonator I was anxious to see your show. I was not disappointed at all but found your show to be awesome. If you closed your eyes it was Johnny Cash singing. Both you and Cyndi and your band were so entertaining that I could not stop clapping and smiling.

"You guys were absolutely delightful Friday night. Jimmie in person you sound so much  like Johnny Cash. You’d make him proud. I can even picture you singing as an impersonator for Johnny Cash at the Living  Legends show downtown. You’re very  talented. Thanks for sharing your musical talents with everyone. What a blessing to be able to actually do what you want to do now! Many people never do.We truly enjoyed you

Hey guys, Just have to say, wonderful performance. In no time at all, I'm sure you'll have your own show in Vegas. Hang in there. Blessings, Mark & Brenda

Florida

I'm no seasoned critic, but, suffice to say, Cyndi is a beacon of talent and entertainment that shines brightly with you.

I've paid $50 to see "Legends in Concert" at the Imperial Palace and hundreds to see Elton John at Caesars.  Your show is far better for my money.  It is, as you state in the beginning of your show, 'music for the common man' and that describes me.

A side note. I was most impressed meeting all the band members. All were cordial,
positive, fun and, again, just seemed to fit together..... I imagine that is by your design.....great job!  Thank you for the opportunity to introduce
you and your show.  It was huge fun,  but the best part was watching your  performance. I'll look forward to next time!! Much continued success!!!
